Verve Design is a boutique graphic design and advertising studio focused on providing clients with personalised service, creativity and attention to detail.
We’re a busy, friendly (sometimes we think we are comedians) and dynamic studio located in South Townsville. We like to make our clients feel at home, and we like to make our staff feel like family.

Running for almost 15 years, we service a diverse client base and offer a broad range of design services including corporate identity, print and press advertising, multi-media and website design, merchandise, wedding stationery and signage.

We’re looking for a creative graphic designer with a dream for becoming BIG!

Someone who is loyal, loves coming to work everyday, has a drive to learn, and is not afraid to take constructive criticism or own up to their mistakes. In return we will teach you, nurture you, encourage an area of your design passion and always pat you on the back for a job well done.

As well as showing plenty of ‘Verve’, our creative Graphic Designer must have worked a minimum of two years in the industry with the following qualities:

– Completion of a TAFE or university qualification in graphic design

– Superior creativity and artistic flair

– Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat

– Solid knowledge of design and pre-print processes (CMYK, RGB, pre-press)

– Good proofreading and basic editorial skills, with excellent attention to detail

– Solid knowledge of layout and design principles

– Ability to organise print quote requests

– Ability to prioritise jobs under the direction of the Senior Designer and/or Creative Director

– Good written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with clients and maintain professional relationships.

– Very organised with the ability to plan schedules, meet deadlines and work under pressure

– Flexibility to adapt to tasks as required

– General knowledge and skills in web/online media

– Possess confidence, good initiative and be proactive so problems are solved quickly

– Ability to conduct relevant office administration tasks i.e. filing, record keeping, reception, mail,
order and receipt

– Friendly, honest, reliable, career driven with the enthusiasm to learn!

– Marketing or web experience/qualifications highly regarded
